I wish that Kinney, Cali and I could take a vaca. to the beach this summer... ugh one more summer w/o any fun.

I'm feeling like a break is needed, too bad I probably won't get one. :(

Funday Sundays!

I love Sundays... My fav. day of the week!

Last night Kinney, Cali, and I went to have dinner with Meredith and Josh and it was loads of fun. After dinner at a Habachi grill, we went back to their house and hung out. We had fun playing with Lily and Kinney had a blast playing darts!

Today I'm relaxing! :)

Ahhh... Friday. 'nuff said! :)

just kidding! Today has been pretty tiring... This morning after I saw Kinney off to work, I went to check on dear Ms. Cali Boo and she had taken off her shorts and her diaper and pee peed all over the bed.. I was too tired to mess with it, so I took her back to bed with me. She slept for a whole thirty minutes before I felt wet kisses all over my face! So I got up, messed with the dogs, fed the munchkin, made my website, and a whole bunch of other nonsense. After I put Cali down for a nap, I went outside and tended to my unkempt lawn. The pups sure didn't like that loud thing messin up their trails in the backyard... Oops! Sorry guys! lol

Now I'm relaxing.. but I really don't know what that means. I can't even contain myself enough to sit down for 30 min. I feel lazy when I sit down lately! I'm feeling in the dancing mood...

ahhhh I love music! :)

I Can't Stand Stupidity

I am sick to death of hearing about the Carrie Prejean scandal. This is the thing.. I have no faith in the pageantry industry. Every year it comes out that all theses girls on that show have nude pics that have been in circulation forever. A pageant that should stand for honesty, integrity, good values, and intelligence has been reduced to a naked parade of women who have a vain sense of beauty. Carrie Prejean has: 1. lied about the topless photos that were cleary NOT taken on a windy day 2. Used the pageant as a way to get fake boobs 3. Isn't that much of an upstanding person in my opinion.

I don't want MY daughter looking up to some one that feels she needs fake breasts and nude pics to become famous or whatever that girl's real intentions are. The only thing that I agree with her on is that she has a right to her own opinion as everyone does.

You know, things in the media used to not bother me much, but now that I am a parent and much more mature, I get so discouraged by the world and what it is becoming. I hope that I have the grace to raise our daughter in an environment to thrive without the self absorbed stigmas that seem to flood thru the airwaves of television and internet.

Yesterday was fun! Kinney came home early and rested while I cleaned my butt off so I could make dinner a good experience. My grandparents stayed and visited for 3 hours! I was impressed. We had a good time.

We have a full/funnnn weekend ahead! Softball games on Friday & Sunday which Cali and I will be attending! GO TEAM PEREIRA! :) and Saturday night its Dinner with Merdo and Josh who we ALWAYS love to see! :) Can't wait for some relaxation in the sun though.... I want a swimming pool!

Getting Business Rolling

I woke up in a productive mood this morning. It is my goal that by the end of this week I will have at least two orders for Something Sweet. Hopefully my constant struggling to get the menus out and circulating will be put to good use. Come what may, I always say!

Tonight I invited my grandparents over for dinner. I haven't seen them in months and I think that its time to let sleeping dogs lie. The fall out was easy, the healing process is hard and the first leap can be unbearable... hopefully it will be easier than anticipated. I really hate awkward moments.

Cleaning time! I have eight hours to get my house back into spic n span shape before dinner tonight. It rained Monday so that means the dogs were INSIDE making a bit of a mess. I have to vacuum my carpets for unwanted dust and dirt I can't see, but my SOCKS CAN! :)

Romeo, oh Romeo... My weimaraner Romeo is starring straight at me thru the sliding glass door, anticipating my eyes will meet his glance... but they won't. I know him too well. As soon as I look, he'll start barking like crazy, begging for me to come outside and play. Don't worry Rome. I'll play with you after I clean.

Cali is beginning to go thru her terrible twos! AHHH she's not even 2 yet! She's Ms. Bossy telling everything (except me) NO NO! and her little grunts and sighs of disapproval. I want to say its a bad thing for her to be popping an attitude, but its so adorable!

I might blog later... its so relaxing. My love for writing is far superior to my cleaning skills. ha ha

In love with life

Today has been great! Cali and I have been dancing, singing, running around, cleaning. She keeps me going.

Shelby is napping at my feet as I ramble thru old email that need to be deleted or put in the correct folder. I found pictures I had thought I had lost and I think I'm about to upload them to my face book to share with my friends.

Meredith gave me the idea of blogging months ago so I guess I'll start now.

Tisk, Tisk Spring time- You didn't last long enough... long summer days and hot summer nights await me. I have a feeling a lot of ice cold beer is about to be bought for the boys and chilled arbor mist for me and my girls...
